Film producer and musician Brendon Davis tells us about a visa run he took from China to Mongolia that had a very scary and embarrassing conclusion.

Brendan Davis began his entertainment career in 1990. He has been a producer on films premiering, competing, or winning at Sundance (“Metamorphosis”, 2016; Sundance HK), Toronto (DEADGIRL, 2008; BORN TO DANCE, 2015), Berlin (BORN TO DANCE, 2016) and other top festivals. In 2013 Davis produced the 1st US season of long-running Chinese TV hit “Jia Pian You Yue” featuring Stan Lee, Justin Lin, M. Night Shyamalan, & Sean Astin. In 2019 he completed feature documentary CRAZYHOT, now available worldwide on demand. He is currently directing a documentary about leading global think- tank Horasis as well as producing MY FAVORITE SEASON for director Larry Sullivan, THE BISHOP’S MAN, adapted from the award-winning novel and to be directed in New Zealand by acclaimed filmmaker Babak Payami, and BLOOD RELATIVES with filmmaker Noah Segan. He is Partner/COO of International Troublemakers, Inc. with Sullivan and Founder/CEO of Skinny Wizard Studios.
Davis has been co-located between Beijing and Los Angeles since 2013. In 2019 he was recognized as a Distinguished Foreign Expert by the Beijing government and appointed to serve a 5-year term as an advisor to the Chinese film and tv industry.
